How Auction League scoring works
Auction League uses clear Premier League match events. The standard game awards points for goals, assists and clean sheets. Goalkeepers and defenders also receive appearance points and lose points for goals conceded. It does not use bonus points or defensive-contribution points.
What earns points
The points stay close to events on the pitch. Position matters because goals and clean sheets do not have the same value for every player. The league can inspect what earned a score.
- Goals and assists.
- Clean sheets for eligible positions.
- Appearances for goalkeepers and defenders.
- Deductions for goals conceded by goalkeepers and defenders.
What the standard game leaves out
The standard game has no bonus-point system and no defensive-contribution points. Custom point values are optional when a league needs different values, but the underlying product rules remain in force.
Team selection and Supersubs
Managers set a legal XI for each kick-off. Supersubs lets a manager choose which eligible players start or sit out before their fixtures begin. The deadline makes the choice part of the game rather than a change made after the result.
